Let's make your episode great!

Thank you for agreeing to be a guest on The Ripple, from Wednesday Women. We're excited to record your episode and share your story with our community. Keep reading for a few tips to help you get ready to shine.

How it works

Episodes are short–about 15 minutes each. We schedule 30 minutes with you to make sure there’s enough time to find the flow of conversation, capture your story, and handle any tech curveballs that come our way.

If you haven't yet scheduled your session - please reach out to our Host, Ashley Laabs, at: ashley@composuredigital.com

Although our podcast is distributed primarily in audio format - across all major podcast networks - we will plan to record some video. There's no formal dress code, but please plan accordingly.

When it's time to dial into the recording session - simply click the link (SquadCast) in your calendar invite.

Here's what will happen during the short recording session.

  • We'll chat a little and get comfortable

  • You'll be asked to share a story based on the prompt you chose.

  • Ashley will ask a couple of short follow up questions

  • You'll be on your way before you know it – we know you have a busy day!

Match the mood

Our hope is that your session feels like telling your story to a new friend. We want to get to know you better and put you in the best light.

The Ripple is a podcast we hope people listen to while commuting, picking up the kids, or running errands. We’d like to make those small moments in their day better with calm, friendly, and inspiring conversations.

A few logistics

We use SquadCast to record our episodes. Unfortunately, SquadCast doesn’t currently support the Safari browser. You should be able to join from any other browser.

Here are some best practices to ensure you have the best setup for recording:

  1. Use a wired external microphone, if possible.

  2. Wear wired headphones, if possible.

  3. Try to have natural light or a lamp lighting your face.

  4. Restarting your computer before the session can help ensure the best internet connection.

  5. Close any extra apps and browser tabs.

  6. If we get disconnected, simply refresh the page and wait for everyone to rejoin.
